What is considered a Task on the Real Synch Platform?

Our clients ask us all the time, "What is a task? What does the Real Synch platform consider a task?"

Simply put, a task is any activity triggered to move data from one system to another.

Whenever we receive data, our system has to open its "doors" to receive it and then push it to another system.

Think of Real Synch as a bridge between two islands that opens up to allow cars (data) to pass through. The task isn't necessarily about how much data is in each vehicle but rather the number of cars passing by (the number of API calls).

Each API call we make to transfer data from one system to another is considered a task.

The number of pieces of data within that API call doesn't matter; it could range from one item of data or many items of data bundled together in one task.

All that matters is that the task triggers data movement from one place to another.
